DESCRIPTION:Join Joan Rocchetta in an interactive facilitated dialogue based on the book\, “the boy who would be a helicopter”\, by Vivian Gussin Paley\, noted early childhood educator from University of Chicago who was the recipient of a MacArthur Fellowship.  \nThe book focuses on the challenges that an isolated child poses to his teachers and classmates\, and how Ms. Paley\, a gifted teacher\, used thoughtful observation and storytelling as a vehicle for instruction.  \nPresenter: Joan Rocchetta\, East End Early Childhood Specialist at the Child Care Council of Suffolk\, Inc.  \nRegistration Fee: There is no fee for this workshop\, however\, registration is required in order to receive credit.  \nRegister Deadline: Participants must register no later than February 1\, 2025\, in order to receive a copy of the boy who would be a helicopter.
